For how long can I rent a Penske utility truck?
Penske offers daily, weekly and monthly terms. We also offer long-term vehicle leases that reduce your rental costs even further. Contact your local Penske sales representative for more information on this money-saving option.
Is there a per-mile charge?
No. We charge a fixed fee for the time the truck is rented. There is no per-mile charge for utility vehicles.
What is the size range of the equipment you rent?
We have bucket trucks from 34 ft. to 125 ft. working height and digger derricks from 45 ft. to 60 ft.
Can the bucket hold the operator and his tools?
As a general rule a single bucket will hold 300-350 lbs. and a double bucket will hold 700-750 lbs. Your Penske sales rep will help you verify your specific vehicle's capacity.
Do you perform regular safety inspections on the trucks?
Penske performs dielectric tests on our insulated units annually to ensure the vehicles are ready to provide a safe platform for your operators.
Do I need a special license or certificate to rent a bucket truck or digger derrick?
The only special license needed would be a CDL if the vehicle is over 26,000 lbs. GVW.
