Q:	Does Penske Utility Rental offer a Rent-Purchase-Option (RPO)?
A:	Yes, Penske offers a RPO program for our customers who wish to build equity in the vehicles they are renting.
Q:	What do I do in the event of a vehicle breakdown?
A:	Penske uses our "S.O.S. Road Assist" to assist our customers in the event of a mechanical problem. S.O.S. operates 365/24/7 and uses over 30,000 vendors and our network of over 700 Penske facilities to provide you the best service in the industry.
Q:	How long can I rent a Penske Utility Truck for?
A:	Penske offers daily, weekly and yearly terms. For terms longer than a year, we can offer long-term leases that will reduce your rental costs even further. Contact you local Penske Sale Rep for more information on this money saving option.
Q:	Is there a "per mile" charge?
A:	No, Penske charges only a fixed fee for the "time" the truck is rented, all mileage is free on utility vehicles.
Q:	What safety equipment is necessary for our operators to use these trucks?
A:	Penske provides all the safety equipment needed including: fire extinguisher, operator manuals, reflector triangles, wheel chocks, harness and lanyards.
Q:	Who is responsible to acquire special permits to transport the trucks?
A:	Penske's Permit Department will apply for, purchase and install any necessary permits to transport the vehicles either inter or intra-state.
Q:	Do I need a special license or certificate to rent a bucket truck or digger derrick?
A:	The only special license needed would be a CDL if the vehicle is over 26,000 lbs. GVW.
Q:	What size equipment do you rent?
A:	We have bucket trucks from 34' to 125' working height and digger derricks from 45' to 60'. Our full range of equipment can be matched to your specific job.
Q:	Can the bucket hold the operator and his tools?
A:	As a general rule a "single-bucket" will hold 300-350 lbs. and a double-bucket will hold 700-750 lbs. Your Penske Sales Rep will help you verify your specific vehicle's capacity.
Q:	Do you perform regular safety inspections on the trucks?
A:	Yes, Penske performs dielectric tests on our insulated units annually to insure the vehicles are ready to provide a safe platform for your operators.
Q:	What make and model of chassis and aerial devices do you have in your rental fleet?
A:	Penske has all the major chassis (Ford, GMC, Freightliner, Navistar, Mack) and aerial device (Altec, Versalift, MTI, Terex, Norstar, Elliott) manufacture represented in our fleet. This allows you to rent a specific vehicle for an individual job or the operator's requirements.
Q:	Who is responsible for preventative maintenance and repairs?
A:	Penske rentals include all the normally scheduled chassis and tower preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, tire replacement and repairs and road call assistance. The customer is only responsible for insurance coverage, fuel, operator and damage beyond normal wear and tear.
Q:	Where can I get preventive maintenance and repair work done?
A:	Penske has the best coverage in the industry with 59 locations that can perform both chassis and aerial device maintenance and repairs. And, 700 locations that can perform all chassis work.

A:	Penske's rental fleet is the most extensive in the industry.
