What if I now need additional days for my one way rental?

with one of our Moving Specialists. If you add days prior to your pick-up date, your first two additional days would be $50 each. Every additional day thereafter would be $100 each. If you add days once you pick up the truck, it is $100 for every additional day.

If I return my truck early, will I receive a refund?
You can drop your truck off prior to the due in date. However, your rate is based on a per trip fee, not a per day fee. Unfortunately, there would be no refund.

Can I cancel my reservation?
You can cancel your reservation, with no charge, up to 48 hours prior to your pick up date. Within 48 hours of your pick up date, you may be charged a $100 cancellation fee.

What form of payment does Penske accept?
Cash, major credit cards, cashier's check, traveler's check, company check*, or personal check*.
* not all locations accept Company or Personal Checks. Please call your pick up location to verify acceptance if you intend to pay with a company or personal check.

Do I need to provide a deposit for my reservation?
No deposit is required if you reserve online with a credit card and also pay with a credit card. If you reserve with a credit card, but decide to pay in cash or with a check on the date of pick up, an additional $150 deposit would be required on the date of pick up.

Does Penske rent moving trailers?
Penske does not rent moving trailers. However we do rent a variety of truck sizes to meet any need. Picking a larger size truck will allow you to pack all your belongings in one spot.

Can I tow my own trailer behind a Penske truck?
No. For liability reasons and your safety, we do not allow customers to tow any non-Penske owned equipment behind our trucks.

Can I rent a car carrier or tow dolly without a Penske truck?
No, Penske's towing equipment is engineered specifically to tow behind a Penske truck only.

Why can't my make or model car be towed on your towing equipment?
Not all vehicles meet our weight, width, tire size, wheelbase and drive shaft requirements. We have these requirements to prevent damage to your vehicle. Click here to

I checked a rate yesterday and it is different today. Why is that?
Our rates are based on numerous factors including logistics, equipment supply, customer demand, etc. As these factors are dynamic, our rates do change on a daily basis.

How old do I have to be to drive a Penske truck?
You must be 18 years of age and able to produce two forms of identification, including a drivers license. Penske trucks do not require a special license to drive.

Can someone else drive the truck I have rented?
Yes. You may add up to three additional drivers for a fee of $10 each. Additional drivers must also provide two forms of identification. Family members may be added at no charge.

What is the $9 Environmental Fee?
Penske is committed to doing its part to protect our environment. In the conduct of our truck rental business, we handle a number of materials, such as waste oils, solvents, and petroleum products, that may be harmful to the environment and therefore must be disposed of properly and in accordance with the law. Penske spends millions of dollars each year to comply with these requirements and to properly dispose of these materials; to help defray a portion of these costs, Penske charges an environmental fee of $1.50 per day (up to a maximum of $9.00 per rental) on household local rentals, $9.00 per rental for household one-way rentals, and $9.00 per rental for commercial rentals.

Are there any charges due when I return the truck?
If you are on time, return the truck full of fuel and in the same condition which you received it, there are no charges at turn in. Penske does not have any hidden mileage or turn in fees as does our competition.
