Vehicle Return Checklist

Be Prepared to Make It an Easy Rental Return

  • Return your truck with a full tank of fuel.
  • Please ensure all personal items and trash are removed from the cab and cargo area before returning the truck.
  • Extra charges could be incurred due to vehicle damage, late turn in, less than a full tank of fuel or vehicle uncleanliness.
  • If you have arranged to drop the truck off after hours or on a day this location is closed, please leave the keys and contract in the drop off box. Retain one copy of the contract for your records.
  • Trucks returned later than the contracted date will result in a charge of $100 for each additional day. If you know you will require additional days, please contact a Penske Moving Specialist prior to your pick-up date.

Payment Details

  • A credit card is needed to secure your reservation with payment due at time of pick-up.
  • Penske accepts major credit cards, bank or cashier checks, and cash. Please note that Penske does not accept cash payments in excess of $5,000, though transactions can be split between two forms of payment.
  • AAA members must present their valid AAA card at time of pick-up to receive the AAA discount.
  • To receive a military discount, you must bring your valid Military ID or proof of Veteran status at pick-up.
  • To receive a student discount, you must bring your valid College ID or proof of enrollment status at pick-up.
  • For one-way reservations, you may purchase extra days at any time for $100 per day. You can change your reservation online, call us at 1-888-996-5415 or click the image below to chat with one of our moving specialists.
  • Prior to pick-up, any additional days added are refundable up to payment of rental. Once payment is made and after pick-up, additional days paid for are non-refundable.
  • You may add up to three additional drivers for a fee of $10 each. Additional drivers must also provide two forms of identification. Family members may be added at no charge.
  • You can cancel your reservation anytime with no fees attached.

Pick-up, Travel, Drop-off

  • At pick-up, you must be at least 18 years old and able to produce two forms of identification, including:
    • Driver's license
    • State-issued ID
    • Passport
    • Social Security card
    • Vehicle registration
    • Phone bill
    • Military ID
    • Credit card
  • You can make as many date changes prior to pick-up (within 6 months of original reservation date), based on availability, without affecting your rate.
  • Your vehicle may be subject to weigh station requirements.
  • If you have reserved a Penske Tow Device you will need to verify the tire size and ground clearance specifications to ensure your vehicle is compatible.
  • Your truck will be inspected and have a full tank of fuel at time of pick-up. There are no charges due if you are on time and return the truck in the same condition and with the same fuel level as when you received it. Penske does not have any hidden mileage or turn-in fees.
