General Information

1. Is there a cost to enter?

No purchase is necessary to enter or win.

2. When does the contest run?

Entries will be accepted from April 2, 2026 to April 30, 2026.

3. How do I enter?

To enter, simply complete the official online entry form and submit a written story of 500 words or fewer describing why the Indianapolis 500 is personally meaningful to you or your family and what attending the race would mean to you.

Stories may include personal memories, family traditions, lifelong fandom or other meaningful connections to the Indianapolis 500.

4. What requirements must my story meet?

Stories must:

  • Be original work created by the entrant
  • Be truthful
  • Not contain offensive, inappropriate or illegal content
  • Not include personally identifiable information about minors
  • Not infringe on the rights of any third party

Entries that do not meet these requirements may be disqualified.

Eligibility

1. Who is eligible to enter? 

Legal residents of the 48 continental U.S. states or D.C. who are 21 years of age or older at the time of entry.

Not eligible: Penske associates, officers, directors and their immediate family or household members. Employees of advertising, promotion or fulfillment partners listed in the Official Rules are also not eligible.

How To Enter

1. How do I submit a contest entry?

Submit your entry at pensketruckrental.com/indy500 and include a written story of no more than 500 words.

2. Can I edit or resubmit my story after submitting?

No. Entries cannot be modified after submission.

3. Can I submit more than one entry?

No. Only one entry per person is permitted.

Judging & Winner Selection

1. How will entries be judged?

A panel of judges selected by the sponsor will review each entry. The stories that are submitted should be authentic, clear and relevant. Judges' identities are not released.

2. How many winners will be selected? 

There will be two winners selected from all eligible entries. Each contest winner can bring up to three guests. Guests must also be 21 years of age or older.

3. How will winners be notified? 

Via phone or the email address provided in the entry form, within five days after judging.

4. What happens after I am selected as a potential winner? 

Potential winners may be required to:

  • Confirm eligibility
  • Sign a Declaration of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release
  • Provide proof of identity
  • Provide tax documentation if required
  • Complete a background check

These materials typically must be returned within five days of notification.

5. What happens if a selected winner does not respond? 

If a selected winner does not respond within 5 days, fails eligibility verification or does not sign required documents within 5 days, the prize may be awarded to an alternate entrant.

Prizes & Travel

1. How many winners will there be? 

There will be two contest winners. Each contest winner can bring up to three guests. Guests receive the same benefits as the winner.

2. What is included in the prize?

Each winner receives a VIP Package that may include:

  • Roundtrip airfare
  • Three nights at the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis
  • Ground transportation between the airport, hotel and Indianapolis Motor Speedway
  • A VIP experience at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, including race admission, access to exclusive hospitality areas, a behind-the-scenes FOX Sports TV Compound tour and pre-race access to the starting grid on the track for an up-close look at the cars.
  • $500 gift card for incidentals

3. Can I change the travel dates, upgrade or decline travel? What if I can't travel on the required dates? 

Travel must occur on the dates selected by the sponsor; no changes or upgrades are permitted. If a winner cannot travel on the required dates, the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate, per the Official Rules.

4. What expenses are not included in the prize? 

Winners and guests are responsible for expenses not specifically included in the prize package, such as:

  • Select meals
  • Personal purchases
  • Baggage fees
  • Seat upgrades
  • Change fees
  • Gratuities
  • Hotel incidentals

The $500 gift card is intended to help cover some incidental costs.

5. Can I request disability accommodations during travel or at the track?

If you are selected as a winner and you or a guest require disability accommodations, please alert the sponsor when you are notified.

Taxes & Documentation

1. Am I responsible for taxes on the prize? 

Yes. Winners are responsible for all federal, state and local taxes on the prize.

Prize Policies

1. Can I receive cash or another prize instead of the trip?

No. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash or another form of value, and it cannot be transferred.

If a winner cannot participate in the experience, the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate entrant.

2. What happens if the event is delayed, changed or canceled? 

If the Indianapolis 500 or related events are delayed, changed or canceled, the sponsor may substitute a prize or experience of equal or greater value, if necessary.

Use of Story & Publicity Rights

1. Does Penske own my story once I submit it?

Yes. All entries become property of Penske, and Penske may use, reproduce, modify and publish the content without additional compensation.

2. Can Penske use my name or likeness? 

Yes. By participating, you grant Penske the right to use your name, photo, likeness and story for promotional purposes worldwide, without additional compensation (unless prohibited by law).

Penske “Rev Up Your Rental” Contest Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. Participation constitutes Participant’s (as defined below) full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules. The Penske “Rev Up Your Rental” Contest (the “Contest”) will accept entries beginning April 2, 2026, and ending no later than April 30, 2026 (“Contest Entry Period”). The Contest is sponsored by Penske Truck Leasing Co., LP (“Sponsor”), 2675 Morgantown Road, Reading, PA 19607.

ELIGIBILITY. The Contest is open to natural persons twenty-one (21) years of age or older as of the date of entry who are legal residents of the 48 continental United States or the District of Columbia (“Participants”). This Contest is not applicable to residents in Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. Territories and possessions, including, but not limited to, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands or where it is otherwise prohibited by law. Employees, officers, and directors of Sponsor, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, LLC, INDYCAR, LLC and their respective parents, subsidiaries, members, divisions, affiliates, advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies (“Sponsor and Promotion Parties”), and those individuals who are immediate family members of Sponsor and Promotion Parties, or persons living in the same household as Sponsor and Promotion Parties, are not eligible to participate in the Contest. “Immediate family” means parents, siblings, children, partners and spouses. Void where prohibited. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.

HOW TO ENTER. During the Contest Period, Participants may enter by filling out the entry form (“Entry Form”) found at ( http://www.pensketruckrental.com/indy500 ) and submitting such form during the Contest Period. Participants must submit a written story of no more than 500 words (the “Story”). The Story should explain the interest of the Participant in Penske and why the Indianapolis 500® is personally meaningful to them or their family. A Story may include personal memories, family traditions, special connections to racing, lifelong fandom, or other compelling experiences relating to the Indianapolis 500®. Collectively, the Entry Form and the Story will be referred to as (“Entry”).

A Story must be the Participant’s original work; must be truthful; must not include personally identifiable information about minors; must not include confidential, offensive, or inappropriate content; and must not infringe, misappropriate, or violate the rights of any third party.

Any Story that exceeds 500 words or that fails to follow these requirements may be disqualified.

Limit one (1) Entry per Participant. Entries generated by script, macro or other automated or mechanical means or by any means which subvert the entry process or spirit of the Contest will be void. Sponsor is not liable for lost entries or transmissions, interrupted or unavailable network, server, or other connections; scrambled transmissions or other errors or problems of any kind whether mechanical, human, or electronic, technical malfunctions of the computer hardware, software, or any combination thereof; or problems associated with any virus, or any other damage caused to participants’ systems; or incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete Entry of information by Participants.

If you choose to submit or post any media content (including to but not limited to photographs, videos, recordings) in connection with this Contest, Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify your Entry if you fail to comply with social media platform rules, distribute content that is false, misleading, offensive, hateful, dangerous, harassing or illegal, or otherwise does not comply with Sponsor’s image or the spirit of the Contest, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Entries will not be deemed valid for the Contest unless they: (a) meet the requirements set forth above; (b) comply with the rules of the Contest; (c) do not contain obscene, offensive, or objectionable imagery or language, or communicate messages inconsistent with or damaging to the positive image to which Sponsor wishes to associate; and (d) do not infringe, misappropriate or violate the rights of any third party.

Entries cannot be modified or supplemented once they are submitted. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any Entry that it determines, in its sole discretion, is not in compliance with these Official Rules.

PRIZE: There will be Two (2) Prize winners in this Contest (each a “Winner”).

Prize Winners receive the following prizes:

Two (2) Winners will receive a VIP Package for Winner and up to three (3) guests (“Guests”) to attend the Indianapolis 500® Mile Race (“Race”) held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway® (“Speedway”) in Indianapolis, Indiana scheduled to take place on May 24, 2026. Guests must also be natural persons twenty-one (21) years of age or older as of the date of entry who are legal residents of the 48 continental United States or the District of Columbia. Guests who are residents of Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories and possessions, including but not limited to Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, or where otherwise prohibited by law, are not permitted. Each VIP Package may include: (1) roundtrip air transportation from Winner’s nearest major airport; (2) three nights hotel stay at the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis from Friday, May 22, 2026, through Monday, May 25, 2026 (based on two double occupancy rooms); (3) ground transportation from the airport to the hotel and back; (4) ground transportation from the hotel to the Speedway and back on Saturday and Sunday; (5) a “VIP Experience” at the track on Saturday and Sunday for Winner and Guest(s) including a total of four (4) reserved seat grandstand tickets for the Race and four (4) Pit/Garage Credentials valid for pit and garage access during the hours designated by the Speedway; (6) a $500 gift card for incidentals for Winner only (collectively, the “Prize”). For purposes of this Contest, a “VIP Experience” may include admission to the Speedway and access to events, partners, and the Race on Saturday, May 23, 2026, and Sunday May 24, 2026. Specific VIP elements are subject to availability and may vary. Winner agrees that the credential/ticket prizes are awarded pursuant to a revocable, nontransferable license that is personal to the winner and may not be sold, resold, auctioned, bartered, assigned, exchanged, placed in commerce, transferred, given away, donated, or otherwise conveyed. Winner must comply with all venue and event rules and regulations, including execution of all required liability releases. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of such portion(s) of Prize.

All travel is subject to availability, blackout dates, airline policies, hotel policies, and the terms and conditions of the travel providers, carriers, and hotels. Winner and Guests must travel on the same itinerary and on dates designated by Sponsor. Once travel is booked, no changes, cancellations, extensions, or substitutions are permitted except at Sponsor’s sole discretion, and Winner will be solely responsible for any associated costs, including change fees, fare increases, baggage fees, upgrades, or additional transportation expenses.

Winner and Guests must have valid travel documents prior to departure (i.e., Real ID-compliant driver’s license or Real ID-compliant non-driver ID, passport, passport card or other TSA-approved ID; visit www.tsa.gov for a list of TSA-approved IDs), and for complying with all security and travel requirements. Winners and Guests are also responsible for all incidental expenses not expressly included in the Prize, including but not limited to meals, gratuities, personal purchases, hotel deposits, and any damages to accommodations. Each Winner and Guest(s) are solely responsible for obtaining valid insurance prior to travel and attendance and explicitly acknowledge that travel and attendance at a race may carry risk of injury and acceptance of the Prize is an intentional assumption of any such risk.

Winner and Guests may be required to complete, sign, and return a Liability/Publicity Release and provide satisfactory proof of identification prior to travel. Failure of any Guest to timely return required documents or to meet eligibility requirements may result in forfeiture of a portion of the Prize, and Sponsor will have no obligation to award any additional or substitute prize to Winner or Guest.

Sponsor is not responsible if the Indianapolis 500® Mile Race or any related event or activity associated with the Prize is delayed, postponed, changed, or canceled for any reason. If any portion of the Prize is unavailable or becomes impossible to fulfill due to circumstances outside Sponsor’s control, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute an item or experience of equal or greater value, and no additional compensation will be provided.

Travel arrangements may not be transferred, resold, substituted, or exchanged by Winner. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute travel components (including transportation, lodging, or event access) with items of equal or greater value, if necessary, as determined in Sponsor’s sole discretion.

Total ARV of each Prize is estimated to be approximately $15,000.

Sponsor reserves the right to award less than two (2) Prizes in the event there is an insufficient number of eligible and qualified Entries. No substitution or transfer of any Prize or election of cash in lieu of the Prize by Winner will be permitted. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any prize of equal or greater value. Prizes are non-transferable. Standard gift card terms and conditions apply to any gift card prizes. Winner is solely responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes and fees, including income arising out of the receipt and use of the Prizes. Any difference between the stated estimated value of the Prize and its actual value will not be awarded.

DETERMINATION OF WINNERS/WINNER NOTIFICATION: Winners may be selected at any time during the Contest Entry Period. Entries will be accepted during the Contest Period until two (2) winners have been selected, which will occur no later than April 30, 2026. All eligible Entries received during the Contest Entry Period will be reviewed and judged by a panel of judges selected by Sponsor (the “Judges”). Entries will be evaluated based on the following judging criteria:

  1. Emotional resonance of the Story – 40%
  2. Clarity and coherence of the Story – 25%
  3. Personal connection to the Indianapolis 500® – 25%
  4. Overall impression – 10%

The Entries receiving the highest total scores based on the criteria above will be determined as the potential winners (each a “Winner”). In the event of a tie, the tied Entries will be re judged by the Judges based solely on the “Emotional resonance of the Story” criterion.

Judging scores will not be revealed. The Judges’ decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to the Contest.

Selected potential Winners will be notified at the email address they submitted with their Entry within five (5) calendar days after the judging. In the event of a dispute over the identity of the selected Winner, the Winner will be deemed to be the Authorized Account Holder of the email address used at registration. “Authorized Account Holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet service provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. Sponsor is not responsible for and shall not be liable for late, lost, misdirected, or unsuccessful efforts to deliver the notification to selected Winners.

Prior to being confirmed as a Winner, potential winner may be required to sign and return an Affidavit or Declaration of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release/Assignment of Rights within three (3) calendar days of prize notification. If a selected Winner cannot be contacted within 3 days of the judging, is ineligible, fails to claim a prize within 3 days of initial contact, or does not complete an Affidavit or Declaration of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release as requested by Sponsor, the Prize may be forfeited and awarded to the next highest-scoring Participant according to the judging criteria, time permitting. If selected Winner has moved to a different address, it is the sole responsibility of the selected Winner to notify the Sponsor or designated agent of the selected Winner’s new address. Sponsor is not responsible for any undeliverable prize deliveries due to change of address. Sponsor reserves the right to conduct a background check on potential Winners and their Guests. The Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify potential Winner (or require that the Winner selects a new Guest) based on the results of such background check, in Sponsor’s sole discretion.

SPONSOR’S RIGHTS IN SUBMITTED MATERIALS: All Entry materials become property of Sponsor and will not be returned. All Participants grant Sponsor the irrevocable, perpetual, nonexclusive right to use, display, print, publish, reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, promote and provide access to any such Entry materials, in any media throughout the world, and without additional compensation. All Entry materials must be your original work; may not have been published previously; must not infringe third-party rights; must be suitable for publication (e.g., may not be obscene or indecent); and may not embody the name, likeness, voice, or other indicia identifying any person other than Participant, including, without limitation, celebrities and/or other public or private figures. Sponsor may modify or edit Entry materials in its sole discretion. By accepting and/or using any prize, Winner gives Sponsor the rights to use Winner’s name, voice, Entry and/or likeness for the purpose of inclusion in advertising, trade, or promotion, without further compensation worldwide in perpetuity and in any form of media including the Internet, unless prohibited by law.

OTHER CONDITIONS: By participating in the Contest, Participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which shall be final. Sponsor and Promotion Parties and their legal advisors are not responsible for and shall not be liable for: (i) telephone, electronic, hardware or software program, network, Internet, or computer malfunctions, failures, or difficulties of any kind; (ii) failed, incomplete, garbled, or delayed computer transmissions; (iii) any condition caused by events beyond the control of the Sponsor that may cause the Contest to be disrupted or corrupted; (iv) any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of any prize, or acceptance, possession, or use of any prize, or from participation in the Contest; or (v) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Contest. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend or cancel the Contest at any time if a computer virus, bug, tampering, unauthorized intervention, or other technical problem of any sort corrupts the administration, security, or proper play of the Contest. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel the Contest or change any element thereof, with or without notice, at any time, due to printing errors, website errors, transmission errors or other mistakes or problems in the production or administration of the Contest. Sponsor also reserves the right to disqualify, in its sole discretion, any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the website, or who is otherwise in violation of the rules. By participating, Participants agree that all disputes will be resolved in the appropriate courts in the state of Pennsylvania, exclusively, and subject to the laws of the state of Pennsylvania. By participating in the Contest, each Participant agrees to release and hold Sponsor and Promotion Parties, the Social Media Platforms if applicable, and their employees, officers, directors, agents, representatives, parents, members, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies, and legal advisors, harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with the Contest or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of any prize, including without limitation, personal injury, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy.

TAXES: Penske will prepare and submit IRS Form 1099-MISC in the name of each Winner. Each Winner will be solely responsible for any taxes associated with receiving the Prize. Each Winner agrees to provide Penske with their Taxpayer Identification Number upon acceptance of a Prize.

PRIVACY: Information collected from Participants is subject to Sponsor’s Privacy Policy which can be found at https://www.gopenske.com/privacy . By entering this Contest, you agree to the use of your personal information as described in the above Privacy Policy.
